Estimated time per week spent on monarchal duties: 5-10 hours depending on the crisis level (more if something
nasty is in the woodshed...)
Requirements
- Must have an overarching vision of the flag, including future direction as well as current priorities and
general feel and philosophy, which directly reflects the ideals of the crews and pirates within the flag.
- Must have management skills, including the ability to work with people outside of the flag to introduce them
to either our method of alliance, or to provide information for new crew possibilities. Also, manages all
department heads and persons with job descriptions within the flag, as well as mediating when flag level
disputes arise.
- Must have the ability to inspire, coerce, smooch, whatever...people into being excited about flag activities, etc.
The monarch is the glue of the flag for the most part; the person who is the symbol of the unity of the crews and
what each of us is working toward.
- Must be able to maintain communications with the Captains and head SO's of every crew in the flag.
- Responsible for ensuring the forum is run smoothly, and that flag members and crews have access or boards as
needed/desired.
- Head of the Diplomacy, Event, Military, Mercantile, Island Governance, Internal Structure, and Future Planning
departments, which includes support of the persons carrying out the responsibilities of those departments, keeping
them in line with flag goals, actively being involved in decision making, and keeping the energy and momentum going
to ensure a solid flag structure.
